I’m a journalist, poet, editor, and communications advisor to tech leaders.
My business is helping people write like they mean it. I work with tech companies and execs to communicate leadership through bylines, blogs, research reports, and more. I’m a speechwriter, ghostwriter, podcast producer, video scriptwriter, and writing coach — all of those in service of helping people develop their ideas and turn them into powerful prose.
I publish weekly essays about writing that AI can’t fake at Rough Drafts. Subscribe if you want to write like a human.
I’m currently writing a book on how people can write more persuasively, in an era when AI can generate anything — except a real, human point of view.
I’ve been writing newsletters and blogging since the 1990s and have been a columnist, podcaster, and editorial leader for publications including WIRED, VentureBeat, Business 2.0, and InfoWorld. I’m a swimmer and a meditation practitioner, and those often show up in my writing. I also created tinywords, the world’s largest journal of tiny poems, which is now in its 26th year.
I am also a trained Listener Poet, and I love writing poems for people.
